If your university is interested in hosting the 2009 Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference (CUPC), you should prepare a bid in advance of the 2008 conference for your representatives to present at the Annual General Meeting, to be held between October 16th - 20th, 2008.
Remember, this conference is organized by a volunteer committee of undergraduates from the host university, so make sure that your university has a student body that is willing to make this happen. Also, please make sure that you ask your department first if they have the resources to support this conference (both financially and in terms of actual space). At the Annual General Meeting, representatives from each university in attendance of the 2008 CUPC will submit their votes for the next university to host the CUPC. The winner will be announced the same day.
Hosting a conference is both a lot of work and a lot of fun, so do consider putting in a bid to host CUPC 2009. It's never too early to start planning!
